About Our Founder, Kitty McEntee: As a young girl my mum would enchant me with tales of my great-grandmother Louisa, the white witch, who could heal people with ‘something in the garden’ and an unknown magic touch. I desperately hoped to inherit this magic and yearned to know her secrets.  

But it wasn’t until, after a 15 year career in advertising and two little ones, that I truly reignited my passion in nature and took my life in a new direction studying herbal medicine. 

I wanted to use my experience from the world of brands to challenge the old dusty stereotypes of herbalism. To launch a brand that talks to a new audience,  a brand that looks as good on the outside as the herbal goodness on the inside. 

That brand is Lab Tonica.

At Lab Tonica, we believe in the power of plants. We believe in the amazing alchemy of nature and our bodies. In fact, the only thing we care about more is sharing this passion with others. Every sip of our tea, smudge of our balm and spritz of our mist contain century old knowledge, modern techniques and the finest herbal ingredients, to nurture inside and out.  

We are continually striving to ensure our products and processes are the best they can be. That’s why we only work with people who share our values. People who believe in treading lightly in the environment, as much as producing high quality ingredients.  Our suppliers are all Salsa and Soil Association approved.  

Our packaging is 100% recyclable. Everything inside the box is made from plants! The inner bag, which keeps our herbs as fresh as can be, may look like plastic but it is in fact biodegradable plant starch. Our tea bags themselves are so ‘green’ you can pop them in the compost like any other plant based waste.

Add 2 / 3 drops into a diffuser, bath or your favourite carrier oil.
