Description

Our virgin coconut oil is pressed using fresh organic coconuts grown in Indonesia, making it one of the purest oils of any kind. The fresh coconuts are sorted and inspected. The shells are removed and then the coconut meat is milled. A cold press expeller separates the oil from the meat. The oil is then filtered and packed. It is certified organic by the Soil Association.

It is 100% fat, which breaks down as:

93% saturated
5% monounsaturated
2% polyunsaturated

Saturated fats are an important food group, and on a vegan diet the only sources of saturated fat are coconut and cacao. Coconut is the only plant source of lauric acid, which is an essential fatty acid found in breastmilk.

How To Use

Coconut oil has innumerable uses. Keep a pot in the kitchen and another in the bathroom!

Blend into hot drinks instead of milk. Use in raw chocolates and cakes.

Put some in the bath with some essential oils for a lovely bath oil. Use as a moisturing skin cream, or for the Ayurvedic practice of oil pulling. Dogs love it, and it's good for their coats.
