Auroville Spirulina Crunchies (100g)

In Stock

Description

Super popular Spirulina Sticks with some added spice! You probably by now are familiar with Spirulina. But many people don't like the taste and find it hard to discover palatable ways to take it. Well, now we are delighted to be able to supply you with these Spirulina Sticks. Made in India, the Spirulina is pressed not into tablets as is more usual, but into thin sticks. Think of the thin little strands in Bombay mix, and that is what you have! And although they are pure Spirulina, with nothing added, they have much more flavour than Spirulina usually does as they are sundried

For this reason, they are great as a snack, just eaten by the handful. You can add them to trail mixes, or include them in bread and cracker recipes. But our favourite way to take them is to sprinkle them over salads, where they make a crunchy and delicious topping.

Kate says, "Our middle son used to be obsessed with these, and could go through a packet in a few days! He used to call them Spiritual Crunchies. I eat a lot of salads and Buddha bowls, and this is my favourite thing to sprinkle over the top for extra crunch and nutrition. Also, top tip; take them into a restaurant with you, if you want to superfood up a rather plain restaurant salad!"

Organic farming is well established and use of natural methods of manufacturing without pollution or destruction of the planet are a hallmark of the Auroville community.

Auroville means City of Dawn. It was founded in 1968 as a place where people of goodwill from all over the world could come together to make a living experiment in human unity and serve a greater dream and greater purpose. It is a site of spiritual and physical research. Presently some 2000 people from 35+ countries and India are gathered in this amazingly creative place, located 160 kms south of Chennai, India, on the Coromandel Coast near Pondicherry. The city-in-the-make is intended for 50.000 inhabitants and works closely with the local population from the surrounding villages in whose midst it is emerging.

"Greetings from Auroville to all men of good will. Are invited to Auroville all those who thirst for progress and aspire to a higher and truer life."

"Auroville wants to be a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. The purpose of Auroville is to realise human unity."
