Mucuna Pruriens 5:1 Extract Powder (100g, 250g, 1kg)

In Stock

Description

Mucuna, also known as Velvet Bean, Cowhage or Kapikachu, grows all over the world, and is commonly found in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. You might know it as the plant from which itching powder is made: the pods are covered in fine hairs which are an irritant. Inside the pods however, is a bean which has been much prized by traditional cultures including Ayurvedic herbalism, and more recently is the subject of many scientific research studies, as a precursor to serotonin, dopamine, and DMT.

Please note, this is now mucuna extract (5:1), so is much stronger than what we had before. Our previous mucuna was 3% to 4% L-Dopa, and this is 15% L-Dopa. It comes from India.

Please don't begin intake of mucuna if you are on any medication, or are pregnant, without consulting a registered health professional.

Ingredients

Mucuna Pruriens Extract

Further Information

Mucuna is known for its anti-depressant and aphrodisiacal properties. It particularly excels as a mood booster. It is an excellent source of naturally occurring 5Htp, DMT, and L-dopa. In India, it is one of the most popular herbal medicines. It is renowned for its use in treatments for Parkinson's Disease.

Due to its potency, it is important to use mucuna sparingly. If you intend to take more than a teaspoon in a day, please consult a registered healthcare practitioner first. As mucuna has been shown to lower blood sugar, it should be avoided by diabetics. It is also not recommended for pregnant women as it may act as a uterine stimulant.
